The backroom band durham durham. We are the backroom band from the aberystwyth area. We re very eclectic but hark back mostly to the rock n soul golden era of the 60s and 70s. 4 piece multi instrumental vocal harmony rock band.

The backroom band began when church friends combined talents to play at church functions. The backroom band was first conceived over 20 years ago in the backroom of the hunters lodge public house priddy in the mendip hills. We play oldies country and contemporary for charitable groups. The back room is the debut studio album by british post punk revival band editors released on 25 july 2005 it entered the uk albums chart at number 13 in july 2005 before peaking at number 2 in january 2006.

The backroom band are a four piece multi instrumental and vocal group based in the ne of england. Whilst the backroom band is best known as a traditional ceilidh band they also play a wide variety of music to suit all occasions. For traditional dances irish scottish and english reels jigs hornpipes and waltzes are used for concerts pub bookings then the choice is extended to include klezmer french accordion as well as a range of traditional songs. It was produced by jim abbiss and was released by kitchenware in the united kingdom pias recordings in europe and fader label in the united states.
